The DUH moments in life. We all have them, sometimes they are our personal DUH's and other times we witness someone elses moment. I want to share a DUH moment that I witnessed. It was a month or so ago.
I was working, walking through a store with a manager checking on the stores departments. We were walking through the store when we came to a large swing set display, which was in the process of being disassembled. Someone had purchased it and it was the last one in stock. There were a couple of employees working on it and the manager I was with stopped and had a quick conversation with them.

We went on our way, and while we were still "walking" the managers radio crackled and someone said that the customer who had purchased the swing set was not going to pick it up until the next day. So as we went back to the front of the store we stopped at the swing set again, there were now 4 or 5 employees working to disassemble it. It was a Friday afternoon and the store was starting to get busier so the manager asked the employees if they could stop what they were doing and go help out in other parts of the store, as the swing set was not needed until the next day.
One of the employees, who was standing on a platform above us on the set, said that they couldn't stop now because it was unsafe to leave the swing set the way it was now. Totally understandable, it had been loosened up and could possibly fall over. He didn't leave it at that though, oh no, he had to demonstrate how unsafe the structure was. He gave the top part of the set a push and it collapsed with a loud BANG!!! against the railing going around the platform. Then he gave us a "I told you so" look. It was quite shocking, but he was right, the swing set was unsafe to be left as it was, and it could certainly fall over and hurt somebody like the other employees and customers who were in area at that moment. (Note, the italicized type is to be read with heavy sarcasm).
As I was leaving the store, I saw this employee and a different manager in the back of the store. The manager was probably explaining to the employee that what just happened was a major DUH!
