Muzak

Ah, the people to thank for background music. Laurie posted about background music recently, although her background music was her own music of choice which is played at home, and I was just reading some other blogs and one post was talking about music and one artist in particular, who probably has many top hits on Muzak. It got me to thinking about my days in restaurants, subconsciously listening to the music, and being able to know which song was coming next, they don't mix it up too much...those were the days. Then there was the time I spent working in a factory, listening to a radio station, and they didn't even mix up their song lists either, borrrring. So now I want to share my #1 song from Muzak, this little diddy is actually dedicated to Boyd, a manager that I used to work with, because he hated the song with a passion, he said it reminded him of an awful movie he once saw, that he would love to forget. I found the particular rendition of the song a little eerie, especially when it was playing late at night when we were closing up. So without further adieu...I give you

Anything Barbara Streisand (sorry to say) makes my eyes start to droop.

When I worked at a restaurant it was really the Christmas musak that got to me the most. Sooo predictable.

That video is a great find!

Heh. The only other time I can think of that I have heard that song was on an episode of the Simpsons when Krusty sang it during an anniversary show (or something).
